Three men were ordered to face trial today in the death of an East Hills woman, who was shot with a suspect's gun during a shootout with city police at her home.

District Judge David Barton ruled Tyree Gaines, 19, of Wilkinsburg, Richard Woodward III, 19, of East Hills, and Amir Ferguson, 18, of Wilkinsburg, should be tried in the July 11 death of 24-year-old Arika Hainesworth.

The shootout followed a home invasion at Ms. Hainesworth's apartment by men seeking drugs and cash.

During the police response, one of the suspects was wounded and Ms. Hainesworth was killed. Investigators determined the shot that killed her did not come from a police officer's gun.
