A South Carolina man has been charged with raping a 13-year-old girl in Mercer County.
State police in Mercer, Pa., said James Carl Burk II, 32, of Murrells Inlet, was arraigned Monday on charges of rape, sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, and other offenses.
Police said the assaults took place at various locations in the county between August and December 2009.
Mr. Burk was being held at the Mercer County Jail on $75,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 22.
