Q: If showing the ball to the opposition's bench is a penalty a la Nate Washington, why isn't pointing and flexing at the bench a penalty?

BOUCHETTE: Pretty soon, if you look crosseyed at the wrong sideline you will get fined. I will have more on this on Sunday, but the NFL, in its zeal to homogenize its game and in the guise of "safety" (is that like the government using "national security" reasons for instances that really are not?) better watch that it does not change the game. We already have that sport, it's called basketball.
