AUDITIONS

South Strabane -- Children ages 5-17 may audition for KTW Young Actors Studio Theatre Downstairs productions from 4 to 5 p.m. tomorrow in Washington Mall. Those auditioning should have a song and a memorized speech from a play or a poem. For an audition time, call 724-229-8486.

CAMPUS EVENTS

California -- Resident Conductor Lawrence Loh will lead the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a performance at 8 p.m. Tuesday in California University of Pennsylvania's Steele Hall. Tickets are $10 each. For reservations, call 724-938-5943.

CLASSES

South Strabane -- Self-defense classes for senior citizens and women will be held at the Wellness Center, Route 19 and Manifold Road. Each will be a series of eight classes in one-hour sessions. Seniors' classes begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow and women's classes at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Costs are $40 for members and $55 for others. To register or for information, call 724-250-5228.

HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

Chartiers -- Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will offer trolley rides to the Pumpkin Patch from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and next weekend. Admissions are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for children 3-15. For information, call 724-228-9256.

HOSPITALS

North Strabane -- Canonsburg General Hospital will host a Halloween Trail from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday on the hospital's fitness trail. Children younger than 12 may attend. Admission is free. In case of rain, the event will be indoors.

• A basic first-aid course will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday. Those who successfully complete the instruction will be certified for two years by the American Heart Association. Cost is $25, including a manual. To register, call 1-877-284-2000.

LIBRARIES

Chartiers -- Heather Frazier, author of "Pittsburgh Ghosts," will sign copies from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Chartiers-Houston Community Library, 730 W. Grant St.

RELIGION

Peters -- Reformation Day will be celebrated next Sunday at Peters Creek Presbyterian Church, 250 Brookwood Road. Services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m.

SALES

Finleyville -- The Finleyville Area Food Pantry and the Mon Valley Food Bank will hold a flea market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Finleyville Community Center, Marion Avenue. There also will be a ticket auction and bake sale. Food will be available.
