A woman was killed yesterday in a crash on Route 51 in Perry Township, Fayette County, the coroner's office said.

Amy Jo Clineman, 36, of Charleroi, was traveling south on Route 51 just after 7 a.m. near Perryopolis. She lost control of her vehicle, which left the roadway and struck a tree.

Ms. Clineman was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:33 a.m. by Deputy Coroner Marisa Springer. The cause of death was trauma of the head.

Blood and tissue samples from the victim also were being analyzed for toxicology content, Ms. Springer said.

State police in Belle Vernon also were investigating.
