Eureka Financial Corp. declared a quarterly dividend of $.15 cents per share payable Oct. 31 to stockholders of record Oct. 15.
The Prudential Foundation and Prudential Financial provided $466,250 in Prudential CARES Volunteer Grants to 603 nonprofit organizations worldwide. The grants program recognizes individual and team volunteers based on a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service per individual. These Allegheny County residents were presented with an award to pass along to their chosen charity. Mark Lyons, a Prudential Insurance agent, received a 2008 Prudential CARES Volunteer Grants Award for $1,000, benefiting Family Hospice and Palliative Care. John L. Lestini Jr., retired Prudential Financial employee, received a 2008 Prudential CARES Volunteer Grants Award for $250 to benefit the Technology Fitness Research Institute Inc.'s National Steroids Research Center and Other Drugs of Abuse in Sport.

Pittsburgh resident Lisa B. Peters, chief human resources officer, The Bank of New York Mellon, received the 2008 Human Capital Business Leader of the Year award from the Society for Human of Resource Management.
Astorino architects Mike Bosco and John Scott Dorfield received awards from Construction Specifications Institute's Mid-Atlantic Region. Mr. Bosco was presented the George C. Neuhausel Memorial Award for his continuous years of service to the organization; Mr. Dorfield received the education award for the Mid-Atlantic region.
Dr. Larry W. Moreland of the University of Pittsburgh was selected as one of 15 experienced researchers from leading institutions to receive an estimated $6 million from the American College of Rheumatology Research and Education Foundation's Within Our Reach: Finding a Cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis campaign. The awards are the second round of grants funded by the $30 million national multiyear fund-raising effort focused specifically on rheumatoid arthritis. The foundation launched the Within Our Reach: Finding a Cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis campaign in November 2006 to accelerate RA research and expand financial support the disease that affects an estimated 1.3 million Americans.
