Q: Why have we not seen more of Limas Sweed in the passing game? I thought all the hype in the off season was to get a tall receiver and we haven't even seen him yet.
John David, Hanover
BOUCHETTE: Players advance at different paces, some faster than others. Sweed is not in that group. He has not developed as quickly as they had hoped - they thought he could compete as the No. 3 receiver when they drafted him. They don't have confidence right now that he can operate in this offense, so the learning curve will be a little longer for him. It should be worrisome to them that a No. 2 draft pick cannot even dress for games. He pulled on a uniform for the game in Jacksonville but he and backup quarterback Byron Leftwich were the only active players not to get into the game.
