A Plum police officer who was acquitted on a federal charge of witness tampering has agreed to settle his wrongful termination lawsuit against the borough.
Ryan Schneiderlochner, who got his job back through arbitration in December 2006, originally filed the lawsuit in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court, but it was moved to federal court in June.
The original settlement demand from Mr. Schneiderlochner was $15,000, said borough Manager Michael Thomas. Though he did not know the actual amount, Mr. Thomas believes that the settlement, which borough council agreed to in September, will be less than that.
