Giant Eagle pharmacies giving flu vaccines
Thursday, October 02, 2008

Giant Eagle pharmacies in the Pittsburgh area, including South communities, are offering flu vaccination clinics to those 18 years and older.

With the flu season approaching, the Centers for Disease Control recommend receiving a flu shot as the best method of prevention.

For information on specific clinic dates and times, customers should visit their local Giant Eagle pharmacy or GiantEagle.com.

Flu vaccinations cost $30, and pneumonia vaccinations cost $40. Some Medicare plans can be billed directly for vaccinations involving customers covered by their health plans. Customers are encouraged to check with their Medicare provider for details.

All vaccinations will be administered by qualified Giant Eagle pharmacists.
