A preliminary hearing for Andrea Curry-Demus, the Wilkinsburg woman accused of killing a pregnant teenager and cutting a baby from her womb, has been postponed until Aug. 22.
Ms. Curry-Demus, 38, had been scheduled to go before a judge today at 10 a.m.
Yesterday, Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey Manning denied a hospitalization request from Ms. Curry-Demus' lawyer and a psychiatrist at the Allegheny County Jail, who described Ms. Curry-Demus as "psychotically ill."
