Robert Brown, of Warrington Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene around 1 a.m., in front of Club VIP II in the 2400 block of Webster Avenue. He was shot in the chest. According to police, an argument in the bar spilled out to the street. At least 10 shots were fired. Mr. Brown was one of three people involved in the argument. Police have identified a suspect but have not made any arrests. There have been 42 homicides in the city this year, slightly ahead of last year's number of 41 at this point, according to police.
