Afternoon storm at airport knocks baggage cart into ramp employee

This afternoon's gusty storm pushed a baggage cart at Pittsburgh International Airport into a U.S. Airways ramp employee and a plane.

Airport spokeswoman JoAnn Jenny said the employee was not taken to a hospital.

The plane, a U.S. Airways Express, had arrived at 1:55 p.m. from Washington, D.C. at Gate B-36. The gust of wind occurred a few minutes later, at 2:03 p.m.

Ms. Jenny said mechanics were inspecting the plane. Pittsburgh was its final destination.
