CONCERTS
Chartiers -- No Bad JuJu will play at 8 tonight at Chartiers-Houston High School Stadium, 2020 W. Pike St. Fireworks begin at dusk at the free event. In case of rain, the concert will move to the school auditorium.
EXHIBIT
Bethlehem -- Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 2128 E. National Pike (Route 40), Scenery Hill, will hold a quilt display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The display will include a number of old and new pieces, along with some of their histories. For information, call 724-945-6072.
FUND-RAISERS
Peters -- A twilight trail walk to benefit Montour Trail will be from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday on Arrowhead Trail, lighted with lumanaria. Walkers can start from either Farmhouse Coffee/My Big Fat Greek Gyro, 502 Valleybrook Road, or St. Petersburg Center, 210 Valleybrook Road. For a $5 donation, walkers receive a glow necklace and are entered in raffles. Children younger than 5 and pets are free. A concert follows at the center. Anyone may attend for $5. Monongahela -- Free screenings for breathing difficulties and possible asthma will be offered at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Call 724-258-1234 to register.
South Strabane -- A discussion of numbness, carpal tunnel syndrome and nerve compression of the upper extremities will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, 240 Wellness Way.
LIBRARIES
Chartiers -- Early registration is suggested for a women's self-defense class to be held at 5 p.m. July 29 at Chartiers-Houston Community Library, 730 W. Grant St. Teens and adults may attend. Cost is $20. Call 724-745-4300.
RECREATION
Nottingham -- Mingo Creek County Park will host two events.
Washington County Parks & Recreation will have a campfire jam night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Shelter 3. Musicians who play acoustic instruments can join in for country and blue grass music. Others can sing along or just listen. Those attending should bring their own chair or blanket. Advance registration is required at 724-228-6867.
The Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will hold free public star parties at dusk Friday and Saturday in the park's observatory near Shelter 10. In case of bad weather, the programs will be cancelled.
RELIGION
Monongahela -- St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 130 W. Main St., will hold vacation Bible school at 6 p.m. July 28 through Aug. 1. Children ages 3-12 may attend. To register, call 724-258-7792.
Washington -- The first annual Sunday School Day will be at 4 p.m. next Sunday at Nazareth Baptist Church, 123 N. Lincoln St. The Rev. Arthur Doctor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Washington, will be the guest speaker. His congregation and music ministries also will join in.
