Jewish Music Festival

Esta kicks off the 2008 Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival taking place May 21-June 1, as part of the United Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh's "Israel@60" initiative, a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the state of Israel.

The performance is followed by an orchestral concert, "Jerusalem of Gold," at 7:30 p.m. May 28 at the JCC of Greater Pittsburgh, Squirrel Hill, showcasing a variety of Israeli soloists and the Children's Festival Chorus, led by conductor Lucas Richman.

The festival concludes with an instrumental program of Israeli composers, "Israeli Songs and Dances," at 7:30 p.m. June 1 at Rodef Shalom Congregation's Levy Hall in Oakland.
