HTML or TEXT: Which one do I want?

You can now get your Headlines by E-Mail from post-gazette.com in an HTML format. Please locate your e-mail system on this page to see if you can make the switch.

HTML
If your e-mail system is capable of supporting an HTML version, you'll find that it's easier to read and use.

The following is a short list of e-mail systems that will render the HTML version correctly:

• AOL version 7.0+
• Netscape Navigator and Communicator e-mail
• Microsoft Outlook 98+
• Microsoft Outlook Express
• Eudora HTML
• Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, MSN, and other browser-based systems

Plain Text
Currently, Headlines by E-mail is being sent out as plain text, which means there are no graphics or photos embedded within the message, and links to the articles are only made clickable if your e-mail system converts them.

The follow is a short list of e-mail systems that support the plain text version:

• QuickMail
• Eudora Lite, and Eudora versions below 4.2
• early Lotus Notes and cc:Mail
• Microsoft Internet Mail (pre-Outlook and Exchange versions)
• Microsoft Exchange for Macintosh
• Pegasus Mail
• Microsoft Mail
• Claris Emailer
• Prodigy
• Compuserve
